After having already taken cruises to the Adriatic, Alaska, theBaltic, the Meditterannean and the Nile River cruise on other cruiselines, Mary and I have to say this was THE BEST cruiseever... Little Visby is a perfectly preserved medieval port, with its city walls and ancient towers still intact. The remains of St. Nicolai, St. Lars, and other impressive churches show Visby's former greatness, as part of the Hanseatic League. Don't miss the collection of picture stones in the Gotlands Fornsal museum, relics of the pre-Viking past.
